Description:
Ron Zacapa XO is a premium Guatemalan aged rum crafted from a blend of rums aged between 6 and 25 years using Zacapa’s solera aging system. It is matured at high altitude in a variety of casks, including American whiskey, sherry and Pedro Ximénez wine barrels, before being finished in French oak casks that previously held Cognac. The result is a rich, complex and smooth rum with a refined, dessert-like character.
TASTING NOTES
• Nose - Rich aromas of vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, dried fruit and subtle spice.
• Taste - Full and velvety, with dark chocolate, toffee, roasted coffee, dried fruit, vanilla and warm baking spices.
• Finish - Long, smooth and warming, with lingering notes of chocolate, oak, vanilla and gentle spice.
