Description: Amaro Montenegro is an Italian bitter liqueur flavoured with 40 botanicals (including liquorice root, nutmeg and sweet and bitter oranges). Amaro Montenegro, "the liqueur of the virtues", was created in 1885 by distiller and herbalist, Stanislao Cobianchi.

TASTING NOTES

• Nose - Tizer (British fizzy fruit drink), mandarin, cola cube sweets (candy) and fresh coriander with white pepper spice.

• Taste - Initially sweet turning mildly bitter with orange zest, coriander, cherry, vanilla and clove.

• Finish - Slightly soapy bitter citrusy finish.
